Brainframe integrates with your calendar so you never miss a deadline.

Brainframe allows you to synchronize your personal calendar with tasks assigned to you.

1️⃣ How It Works

In tasks overview, click the calendar icon in the top-right corner.

Click Generate calendar link to create your personal ICAL link.

Copy this link into your preferred calendar app using its From URL or Subscribe feature.

Your calendar will display:

📄 Document title
🔗 Direct link to the task in Brainframe

Note: The ICAL link is personal — it only shows tasks assigned to you.

2️⃣ Adding the Link to Your Calendar

Choose the correct setup guide based on your calendar software:

🌐 Google Calendar → Use a link to add a public calendar
💻 Microsoft Outlook (Desktop) → Add internet calendars
🌐 Microsoft Outlook (Online) → Subscribe to a calendar
🍏 Apple Calendar → Subscribe to a calendar

⚠ Important Notes

⏳ Update frequency → Most calendar apps refresh ICAL feeds only once every 24h. Updates in Brainframe will appear after the next refresh.

🔒 Security → Never share your ICAL link. Anyone with the link can see your tasks (though Brainframe links still require login).

🏠 Self-hosted instances → Ensure the generated URL is publicly reachable for ICAL sync to work.

3️⃣ Best Practices

📅 Keep your ICAL link stored securely in your calendar app only.
🔒 Always send passwords for protected tasks through a separate channel.
⚡ Refresh or resubscribe if you don’t see updates after 24h.
🌍 Test ICAL sync after setup if you run Brainframe on a private/self-hosted server.
