Website Snapshots
🌐 Website Snapshots
"Capture the web if you don't feel like screenshotting."
Keep reliable records of online articles, requirements, or vulnerability descriptions.
1️⃣ Why Website Snapshots?
How often have you:
- Exported a webpage as a PDF,
- Or bookmarked it,
- Only to later find it changed or gone?
2️⃣ Creating a Snapshot
Simply enter any URL, and Brainframe will:
- Generate an image snapshot of the page.
- Index keywords from the site for easy search later on.
💡 Use snapshots to capture:
- Legal requirements
- Terms & conditions
- Technical documentation
- Vulnerability advisories
3️⃣ Resulting Document
After creation, you’ll get a new document representing the website.
Each snapshot includes:
- Document name — The snapshot name.
- Original URL — Link to the page.
- Snapshot image — Stored version at time of capture (accessible even if page is deleted).
- Linked documents — For example, linking a vulnerability snapshot to its related supplier (see Dependency Tracking).
4️⃣ Best Practices
- 📌 Use snapshots for regulatory references and vulnerability feeds if you don't have time to create a document immediately.
- 💡 Always link snapshots to related documents for context.
- 🗂️ Store snapshots in dedicated folders (e.g., Vulnerabilities, Legal).
- 🔍 Rely on keyword indexing to quickly retrieve historical captures.
🎯 Visual Checklist
