📑 Menu Configuration

"Your menus, your way."
Customize Brainframe’s main menus and submenus to fit your workflow.

The Menu interface allows administrators to fully tailor Brainframe’s navigation.

Each menu item can be mapped to one of the 15 modules, and for Table view, you can choose which document type(s) or document type groups to display.

1️⃣ Configurable Menus and Submenus

  1. Rename each main menu to reflect your organization’s needs.
  2. Reorder, remove, or add main menus using the + button.
  3. Rename submenus for intuitive navigation.
  4. Select the module to display when a submenu is opened.

If Table view is chosen:

  1. Define the document type(s) or document type group(s) to show.
  2. Set the display order — the first item will be shown by default.

2️⃣ User and Group Permissions

  • 👤 Normal users (non-admins):
  • See only the minimum menus.
  • Start in My Compliance by default.

  • 👑 Admin users:
  • See all menus.
  • Also start in My Compliance.

Administrators can configure additional menus in the permission management settings for:

  • Individual users.
  • User groups.

Note: Menus define navigation visibility, but folder permissions still control which content users can access within each menu.

3️⃣ Best Practices

  • 📊 Limit clutter — don’t overload users with too many main menus.
  • 🧭 Group logically — place related items (e.g., Risks & Controls) in the same section.
  • 🔄 Review regularly — update menus when workflows or modules change.

🎯 Visual Checklist

  • [x] Menus renamed to match organization language
  • [x] Submenus grouped logically
  • [ ] Menu visibility reviewed for user groups
  • [ ] Redundant or unused menus removed
