🖥️ Interface

"Your gateway to Brainframe."
Navigate, organize, and manage everything from one place.

1️⃣ Folder Structure

Interface

Don’t want to lose years of structure and work, or simply want to start fresh without spending hours learning new concepts?

Brainframe has you covered: everything is based on a familiar folder structure where everything is simply a document.

You can:

  • Use our best practice folder structure provided during onboarding.
  • Import your existing folder structure and documents to recreate a visual hierarchy of your data.
  • Immediately start building up your content with 100+ document types, properties, approval workflows, and more.

Structured data

Each user also has their own private inbox, showing:

  • Recent activity
  • Personal documents
  • Items flagged as important

From there, you get access to specific folders depending on your role in the company.

Notice the color indicators on folders, which let you quickly visualize the status of a folder.

2️⃣ Key Interface Sections

Here’s an overview of the Brainframe interface with a document (example: POL-ALL-01) opened.

① Modules Section

Switch between the independently described modules. Each module offers a unique view of the content in the selected folder and its subfolders:

  • Files – Organize, store, and retrieve your documents. Import Word, Excel, PDF, or PowerPoint files and improve them with Brainframe features.
  • Tasks – Assign, track, and accomplish tasks systematically. Integrates with Asana, Jira, Monday.com.
  • Workbench – Design and monitor business processes. Manage risks, non-conformities, and workflows in a Kanban view.
  • Overview – Visualize all documents grouped by type (e.g., NDAs, DPAs, servers, risks).
  • Assets – Catalog and manage assets with dependencies and business requirements (RTO, RPO).
  • Forms – Create customizable forms for requests. Embed them into intranets/websites to automate audit trace collection.
  • Risks – Identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Performance – Monitor and track key performance indicators.
  • Distributions – Ensure documents reach the right stakeholders.

Each menu you see in the left contains several subsections, giving you all the tools you need for your governance efforts.

② Breadcrumb Navigation

See which folder you’re in and move quickly between folders without going back to the hierarchy view.

On the left, you can pin favorite folders for quicker access.

③ Document View

The central place to view documents inside Brainframe (e.g., assets, risks, non-conformities, meeting notes).

From most views, clicking on a document opens this full-screen view.

④ New Documents

Start creating new content here:

  • Link existing files from tools like Jira, Asana, Confluence, SharePoint, Monday.com...
  • Choose from 100+ Brainframe document types.
  • Capture website snapshots (e.g., terms & conditions, CVEs).

⑤ Folder Management

A dedicated space for folder-specific notes, editing folders, or switching between different folder views.

⑥ Folder Content

Lists all documents inside a folder (e.g., assets, policies, procedures, risks, meeting notes).

Includes a quick filter by document type.

⑦ Configuration Section

Configure your environment:

  • Profile – Manage personal settings like password and 2FA.
  • Settings – Admin-only: manage templates, users, document types, properties, and external contacts.
  • Logout – End your session and require re-login.
  • Switch Workspace – Jump between different customers/entities with isolated data. See **Multi-customer/entity. **
